Task 1 Human
Resources
Define Human resources.
Human resources (HR) is the division of a business that is charged with
finding, screening, recruiting, and training job applicants, as well as
administering employee-benefit programs. HR plays a key role in helping
companies deal with a fast-changing business environment and a greater demand
for quality employees in the 21st century.
What is the
role of human resources? Define in detail.
The presence of
an HR department is an essential component of any business, regardless of the
organization's size. An HR department is tasked with maximizing employee
productivity and protecting the company from any issues that may arise within
the workforce. HR responsibilities include compensation and benefits,
recruitment, firing, and keeping up to date with any laws that may affect the
company and its employees.
Research
conducted by The Conference Board, a member-driven economic think tank, has
found six key people-related activities that HR must effectively do to add
value to a company.
These include:
Managing and using people effectively
Tying
performance appraisal and compensation to competencies
Developing
competencies that enhance individual and organizational performance
Increasing the
innovation, creativity, and flexibility necessary to enhance competitiveness
Applying new
approaches to work process design, succession planning, career development, and
inter-organizational mobility
Managing the
implementation and integration of technology through improved staffing,
training, and communication with employees
What is
Capital? Capital
is a broad term that can describe any thing that confers value or benefit to
its owner, such as a factory and its machinery, intellectual property like
patents, or the financial assets of a business or an individual. While
money itself may be construed as capital is, capital is more often associated
with cash that is being put to work for productive or investment purposes.
In general, capital is a critical component of running a business from day to
day and financing its future growth. Business capital may derive from the
operations of the business or be raised from debt or equity financing. When
budgeting, businesses of all kinds typically focus on three types of capital:
working capital, equity capital, and debt capital. A business in the financial
industry identifies trading capital as a fourth component.
In your opinion, is human resources
necessary? Explain.
In my opinion, human resources are very
necessary, since through them a successful selection of employees can be made,
likewise they can mark the employee's profile but also give an identity of the
type of company through their employees who have hired

1. Recruiting
and staffing employees
2. Employee
benefits
3. Employee compensation
4. Employee
and labor relations
5. Human
resources compliance
6. Organizational

7. Human

Define Human resource management.
Human resource management (HRM) is the
practice of recruiting, hiring, deploying and managing an organization's
employees. HRM is often referred to simply as human resources (HR). A company
or organization's HR department is usually responsible for creating, putting
into effect and overseeing policies governing workers and the relationship of
the organization with its employees. The term human resources was first used in
the early 1900s, and then more widely in the 1960s, to describe the people who
work for the organization, in aggregate.
HRM is employee management with an
emphasis on those employees as assets of the business. In this context,
employees are sometimes referred to as human capital. As with other business
assets, the goal is to make effective use of employees, reducing risk and
maximizing return on investment (ROI).
The modern HR technology term human
capital management (HCM) has been used more frequently compared to the term
HRM. The term HCM has had widespread adoption by large and midsize companies
and other organizations of software to manage many HR functions.
What are the main responsibilities of a Human Resource Manager?

by providing and maintaining productive employees.
-Efficiently make use of the skills and
abilities of each employee.

experience with high satisfaction and quality of life, so that employees can
contribute their best efforts to their work.
-Effectively communicate relevant company
policies, procedures, rules and regulations to employees.
-Maintaining ethical, legal and socially
responsible policies and behaviors in the workplace.
Which of the responsibilities you mentioned in the previous
questions do you think is the
most challenging or a HRM? Why?
I
believe that Make efficient use of the skills and abilities of each employee.
It is the most complex since each employee has many and different skills, to
make the employees' work efficient, it is necessary to know each one in depth,
as well as their skills and aptitudes, for this, the human resources manager
must be very attentive, knowing each employee well and knowing how to interpret

I agree with you when you mentioned that the most challenging responsibility for a HR manager is finding and fulfilling each person's potential because sometimes they don't even know what they're good or their deficiencies so it can be complicated establishing their profiles.
ResponderBorrarI find the skills that the human resources department needs very interesting, however, these should be used in the other departments of the company
ResponderBorrarI agree with your answer about which responsibility is more challenging for the human resources manager since it is very important to know who you are hiring, I think it is a very difficult decision to know who to hire and who not, because you don't know if you are hiring to the best for the job, you don't know if he lies
